California’s Gold is one of the longest running and most beloved series about California ever produced. The success and popularity of the show helped launch eight additional series about life in California: Visiting with Huell Howser, California’s Golden Parks, Road Trip, California’s Green, Missions, California’s Water, Downtown and California’s Communities. We have received endorsements from The California Teachers Association (and are used in many 4th grade classrooms), The State Parks Foundation, The State Library,  Council for Social Studies, the California Historical Society and many more.

I served as a Producer on over 1250 of these shows seen statewide on all PBS affiliates and worldwide on the Armed Forces Radio and TV Network.

Production duties included developing episodes from concept through distribution, with an emphasis on story development, research, booking talent, editing, on-air graphics, post-production, finishing, broadcast, DVD and digital distribution via multiple channels.

Additional duties include serving as the liaison to corporate sponsors, PBS affiliates and dozens of governmental, private and non-profit agencies. Corporate branding and designing of individual series logos, website creation and maintenance - including e-commerce site, social media positioning and integration, DVD box and menu art, consumer print ads, promotional materials, digitally restore and build database for thousands of archival photos.
